The Miskolc Industrial Park was established in 2005. At first 24 companies operated in the area of MIP, now there are 31 companies. In 2007 the MIK Zrt. bought the periphery property in the neighbourhood of MIP, with an expanse of 72,94 hectares, from the Council of the County Town of Miskolc. It means that now the field of MIP is 148 hectares.
The operating companies inside the MIP do businesses primarily in the scope of mechatronic manufacture, building industry and transport.
