On 16th September, 2010 the foundation-stone of Wet Wipe Ltd was laid with all solemnity in the Mechatronics Industrial Park. The development of the premises and the connected technological investment was more than 500 million HUF.
In 2008 the Financial Times fDi magazine ranked Miskolc and its region to be the 16th most attractive area for foreign capital investment. In 2010 Miskolc has achieved a much better position at the competition.
On 13th January 2010 Investor’s Club was organized by the ITD Hungary Plc., Miskolc Holding Plc. and Technopolis Office. The representatives of producer and service provider companies operating in Miskolc were invited for the event.
Sándor Káli, Mayor received the certificate of ITD Hungary Zrt. on November 6, 2009 for the successful participation in the program for Investor-Friendly Settlements. The objective of the program was to give "customized" assistance to the specialists of municipalities to turn their respective settlements into competitive investment locations.
By the Hungarian State Aid Monitoring Authority of the Ministry of Finance Miskolc has been the first among the local governments to enact the new subsidy category of so called transition assistances as a local ordinance, thus being one step ahead in the competition of investment locations.
Within the framework of the Industrial Park of Mechatronics aimed at the extension of the Industrial Park of Miskolc a series of development projects has been implemented around the sport airfield of Miskolc as well, resulting in the safe and convenient refuelling of rescue helicopters.
The Miskolc Industrial Park is further extended, not only in terms of its area but the services and the level offered as well. ÁTI DEPO Zrt. stated in a letter of intent that it would wish to join the Miskolc Industrial Park with its already operatig logistic center.
Dutrade Zrt. dedicated a new storage building and a related service center in the Industrial Park of Miskolc on Friday. A VIP guest of the event was János Veres, minister of finance, who after the dedication ceremony had a meeting with Sergiy Taruta, the president of the board of directors of the Corporation „Industrial Union of Donbass” who is at the same time also the president of the supervisory board of ISD Dunaferr Zrt. The modern facility implemented from a budget of almost 1.2 billion HUF is of special importance among the steps taken in terms of the renewal of the company, the services to be provided to partners on the highest level possible and the improvement of the work conditions.
On November 17th 2008 a cooperation agreement was made between Miskolc Holding CC and the Borsod-Abaúj Zemplén County Chamber of Industry and Commerce that aims to promote local enterprises and to support investors.
Miskolc Holding Zrt. organized a conference with the title „QUO VADIS TECHNOPOLIS” on October 15, 2008. The event with about 100 participants was hosted by the Regional Adult Education Center of the University of Miskolc.
